Program Overview

This externship is in partnership with Snapchat’s Entertainment, Auto, and Technology (EAT) teams. These teams generate millions in revenue by selling media to the world’s foremost companies in these verticals and serve advertisers by driving business results, whether it’s driving subscriptions to a streamer, selling a car, or getting people to buy something from Amazon. The goal is not just to sell but come to the table with clear strategies and compelling storytelling.

What you'll do:

In this externship program, you will bring the voice of GenZ and provide a fresh perspective on the ways to market products in the EAT verticals to a GenZ audience. You will uncover insights and recommend best practices to launch and market exciting new products on social media, with a special focus on Snapchat. 

 During this program, you will have a chance to:

  • Learn about the social media marketing industry and understand Snapchat’s advertising business
  • Research and create a deep understanding of social media marketing trends in the Entertainment, Auto, and Technology industries
  • Understand how to market products to Gen-Z using social media tools
  • Learn product marketing positioning, how to identify and create unique value propositions for Gen-Z
  • Analyze qualitative data to uncover insights and social media trends
  • Create a social media strategy to launch products in the Entertainment, Auto, and Technology industries
  • Create and deliver a compelling presentation showcasing best practices and potential recommendations for clients.

We are seeking ambitious undergraduate or masters’ students with ages 18-25 and an interest in social media marketing and the advertisement industry. This program is perfect for students who would like to understand the social media industry while generating ideas on how to market new products.


Skills you'll develop:
If you are not a US Citizen/Permanent Resident and English is not your native language, you will be required to demonstrate evidence of your proficiency in English through TOEFL (minimum score: 118) or IELTS tests (minimum score: 9).
If you are a US citizen or permanent resident, or if English is your native language, or if your application is made through a sponsoring educational partner, you will be exempt from the English language testing requirement.
